CNC operator recruitment means finding operators with verified experience on your machine type (lathe, mill, machining centre), control unit and part mix, then starting them according to your shift plan. Clarifying up front whether the role is operator or programmer-operator makes the search faster and more accurate.
Certificates and qualifications
CNC roles often ask for an MYK vocational qualification certificate or a vocational school diploma. Before hiring, we check the role’s status on the MYK mandatory-certificate list and the level required. Alongside the certificate, we test drawing reading, tolerances and use of measuring tools.

Shifts, volume and seasons
CNC machines usually run two or three shifts; night shifts need operators who can work alone at the machine and handle measuring and tool checks. The experience required changes with batch size and part mix, so we plan a separate profile for each shift and a reserve candidate where needed.
Process and timing
The process starts with your staffing need: position, headcount, shifts, location and target start date. We then build a regional candidate pool, pre-screen by phone and assess candidates through a technical interview, drawing reading and a measuring-tool exercise; you approve the shortlist. Timing depends on headcount, location, shift pattern and pay level, so instead of promising a fixed number of days we share a written hiring timeline with the proposal. For hires of five or more people, starts are planned in staggered groups that match your training capacity.
